We are excited to have you be a part of our Los Alamitos Girls Golf Program. Players have gained so much in the past from bettering their golf skills to establishing life-long relationships. We are constantly working to enhance the program and keep our costs down. As you know, golf is a sport that requires a lot of resources, so we rely on everyone's support for program. We have had several players qualify for the CIF league finals and advance to CIF Individuals. Offering such experiences could not be possible without the support of our players and families. We are very grateful for the team of parent volunteers that help with various activities such as transporting the players, volunteering to be on the Booster Club, helping at various events and fundraising.

2019-20 Season and Information
FALL
While the Los Alamitos Girls Golf program runs from August to December, there are various activities for the coaches, players, parents and families throughout the year. Staying active in the program helps build team relationships and skills throughout the year. The Girls Golf Program would not exist with you. To help make this season a success, we kindly ask the following:
1) COMMUNICATION & UNIFORM SIZE
We want to make sure we keep you posted with all the latest information and updates. Please click on this link: Uniform and Contact Form 2019 and fill-out the form. 2) COMPLETE ATHLETIC CLEARANCE
All players are required to have the doctor's physical form completed and submitted online before they are allowed to participate in fall practice. Once you have an electronic copy of the signed and stamped school physical form (single file), upload them to www.AthleticClearance.com along with your insurance information (single file). 3) CONTRIBUTION AND FUNDRAISING
Our girls golf program cannot continue without your support! Families are expected to help fund the cost of the program through a player's donation. This can be done through parent contribution, obtaining financial credits from fundraising, company donations and/or sponsorship. Please note that most of your donation is tax deductible and appropriate receipts can be given (by formal request) at the end of the season by January of the following calendar year. Also, consult your tax professional for current information.

4) VOLUNTEER WHEN AVAILABLE
Each parent is needed in order for the Girls Golf Team program to run successfully. Your child is part of a family that cannot operate without parent support and help. Throughout the year we look forward to your contributions and non-financial support: TIME (participating and attending the fundraising events, team activities, games, events, etc.) Sign-up by clicking on the form link: Volunteers 2019-20
5) SNACK SCHEDULE
Our girls work really hard during the matches, so we ask that parents help keep them healthy and hydrated. Please check the schedule to determine when your family is assigned to bring healthy snacks and a drink for each match. Having enough for about 6-8 players and a coach would be appreciated.
6) GET YOUR GRIFFIN GEAR
Each year the players will need two (2) team golf uniforms that they are required to wear during matches.
7) TRANSPORTATION
Sometimes the girls may need help getting to practices, games or event. If you would like your child transported for a golf event. Please complete a Medical Authorization, Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement *prior* having your child ride with another person. If you are available to help transport, please ask us for the transportation form and return it to any board member or Coach Haygood. Here is a link to Board Regulation No. 2018.

- CONTRIBUTION - Every year we try to keep the cost as low as possible towards the parent. Each Player's Participation Contribution goes towards uniforms, coaching, tournaments, entry fees, green fees, practices, banquet, equipment and other program needs. Here is the Welcome Letter and form for more information. This year our player donation is $ 580 and we are graciously accepting player contributions now. If you are going to fundraise or seek other donors for your player, please see the FUNDRAISING and SPONSORSHIP/DONATIONS sections below. Currently, a player can receive credit to their account from selling Taste for Los Al tickets and finding sponsorships. We greatly appreciate each family providing a check today for the amount that will not come from fundraising or sponsorships. This will prevent any delays in providing uniforms and playing time for the team. We ask that the balance be due on or before the Taste for Los Al fundraising deadline to receive credit, which is Friday, September 20, 2019. Donation payment options available are:
- Make check payable to LAHS Girls Golf Booster Club and bring to the Season Kick-Off meeting on Thursday, August 15, 2019. Parents and Players are invited

- FUNDRAISING - LAHS Girls Golf Booster Club hosts various fundraising events to help offset the additional costs to families. Soliciting businesses, family and friends to help sponsor your child or the team will help immensely. We ask that all families participate and show your team spirit during the season. Here are some fundraisers you don't want to miss:
- Taste for Los Al: A major fundraiser we have each year is Taste for Los Al. Each player's family has the opportunity to sell six (6) or more tickets. Families can receive credit towards their child's account IF the ticket stub and payment for each ticket sold is provided by September TBD, 2019. Checks should be made out to "OUR LOS AL." A $30 credit for each ticket can be applied towards Player Participation Contribution or merchandise (if the Player Participation is met). Note: Credit only applies if accepted by Taste for Los Al. For example: If you sell 6 tickets and submit the checks made to OUR LOS AL with ticket stubs by the deadline to Ceci Chang, you will receive a credit of $180 (= $30 x 6 tickets sold). Thus, the requested Player Participation donation would be $400 (= $580 Player Participation - $180 Taste for Los Al Credits).

- SPONSORSHIP / DONATIONS - Along with asking a company or person to sponsor a player directly, we are offering advertising on our website and during various golf events. Here is a Sponsorship Form Letter that can be used to present to businesses. More details can be found on the Support page

- TBD - The annual Golf Tournament is one of the major fundraisers that will help offset costs for the following season. We ask that all players and families help find sponsors and players to participate. This is a great time to meet new families and reconnect with teammates.
